Application
for Elderly Persons' Flats
(A) Eligibility Criteria
| i) |
Prior
to the date of application, the applicant and
other members in the application must be 60 years
old or above (according to the date of birth recorded
on the HK identity card), except in the case of
married couple where one of the spouse may be
50 years old or above. |
| ii) |
The
applicant may include two other members, whether
related or unrelated, in the application. |
| iii) |
Prior
to the date of application the applicant must
have resided in Hong Kong for seven or more years
(according to the issuing date of the identity
card), holding a Hong Kong Identity Card having
(a) the right of abode in Hong Kong or (b) stay
in Hong Kong not limited by the Hong Kong Immigration
Department . The applicant and other members included
in the application must be permanently residing
in Hong Kong. |
| iv) |
The
total income and assets of the applicant and other
members in the application will be taken full.
The total monthly income and assets must not exceed
the maximum limits listed below :

| v) |
The
applicant and other member in the application
must not be the owner of any residential property
in Hong Kong in any form or manner directly or
indirectly within 24 months prior to the date
of application and up to the signing of a tenancy
agreement upon allocation. |
| vi) |
(vi)
The applicant and all members included in the
application must not be / have been an owner of
any property purchased under any of the home purchase
assistance schemes operated by the Government
or the Hong Kong Housing Society . Those who have
their names deleted from the relevant registers
due to change in marital status can be exempted
from this restriction. |
| vii) |
The
applicant and other members in the application
must be in good health and capable of looking
after themselves in their daily lives. |
