2016

年年報

In the meantime, we will remain focused on the provision of

affordable housing while expanding the scope of our business to

meet the strong and growing demand for housing and related

services for the elderly.

In our housing estates, we are particularly interested in promoting

the idea of cross-generation cohabitation, a concept that we are

introducing in our redevelopment projects by reserving some blocks

for the elderly and others for tenants of all ages.

Despite the slow market response, based on the feedback we have

received for The Tanner Hill so far and the underlying demand for

elderly housing in general, we remain optimistic about the ultimate

success of this ground-breaking project.

The model and scale of The Tanner Hill is the first-of-its-kind in

Hong Kong. While noting that the long payback period and long-term

financial and management commitments could be the deterrents,

we hope that this housing model can inspire the private sector to

embark on similar or even more innovative housing initiatives to

better serve our senior community.
