Beyond our rental estates, we have also taken the ‘ageing in place’

work into the wider community through our Elderly Resources Centre

(ERC). Established in 2005, ERC assists the elderly who live in private

residences that may need upgrading to ensure their homes are safer

and more age-friendly. In 2015, we celebrated the 10

th

anniversary of

the ERC with a series of promotional activities.

As a participant in the Age-friendly City project of the World Health

Organization, we have received recognition for our age-friendly

housing residences at Clague Garden Estate in Tsuen Wan. Equally

important, we were gratified to see that our efforts to implement

‘ageing in place’ represent money well spent. As indicated in a Social

Return on Investment study undertaken by the Hong Kong Institute

of Social Impact Analysts, for every HK$1 invested the AIP scheme

has generated a return of HK$4.5 in social value.

Serving the Needs of all Elderly Groups

As Hong Kong’s ‘housing laboratory’, we have initiated housing

programmes that meet the needs of the niche market.

One example is our Senior Citizen Residences (SEN) Scheme launched

more than 10 years ago that caters for the housing needs of middle-

income elderly groups. The first two projects under this scheme, Jolly Place

in Tseung Kwan O and Cheerful Court in Jordan Valley, have proven to be

extremely successful. Today, a waiting list of around 750 shows that this

type of housing with its lease-for-life arrangement is in great demand.

在出租屋邨以外,我們則透過「長者安居資源

中心」,將「居家安老」的工作推廣至社區。

「長者安居資源中心」於二零零五年成立,協

助私人樓宇的長者住戶改善家居的安全及友善

設施。在二零一五年,「長者安居資源中心」

舉行了一連串的推廣活動慶祝成立十週年。

作為世界衞生組織「長者友善城市」計劃的

一員,房協在荃灣祈德尊新邨所設的長者

友善居所得到表揚。同時,我們亦喜見推行

「居家安老」的經濟效益。根據香港社會

效益分析師學會所進行的「社會投資回報」研

究顯示,每投放一港元於「樂得耆所」居家安

老計劃,可產生四點五港元的社會價值。

照顧不同長者的需要

房協作為香港的「房屋實驗室」,開創不同的

房屋計劃,以配合獨特市場的需求。

例如在十多年前推出的「長者安居樂」住屋

計劃,是針對中等收入長者的住屋需求。

該計劃的首兩個項目分別是位於將軍澳的

樂頤居及佐敦谷的彩頤居,兩者均非常成

功。目前輪候人數約

750

名,足見市場對這

類終身租住形式的房屋需求甚大。
