Promoting Volunteerism and Neighbourhood Mutual Support in Rental Estates
於出租屋邨推廣鄰里互助及義務工作文化

The CES Team launched various initiatives to foster ongoing mutual support and promote volunteerism
across rental estates. In honour of our elderly volunteers’ contributions, an interactive exhibition was
held on Senior Citizens Day 2024, showcasing their inspiring stories and life wisdom. These exemplary
individuals served as role models, motivating younger generations to contribute to their communities.

A Volunteer Award Ceremony was also organised to recognise the dedicated service of volunteers
in serving their communities. Awards were presented to over 150 rental estate tenants for reaching
more than 5,800 service hours during 2023/24. This recognition programme not only celebrated their
contributions to society but also reinforced the importance of volunteers in creating compassionate,
supportive neighbourhoods.

「房協友里」團隊推出了各種措施，促進出租屋邨之間的互助支持，並推動義務工作。為表揚我們長者義工的貢
獻，我們在長者日舉辦「耆義．連繫2024」街站暨故事展，分享長者的勵志故事和人生智慧。這些長者義工以身作
則，鼓勵年輕一代為社區作出貢獻。

此外，我們亦舉辦了一場「義賞同行」義工嘉許禮，以表揚義工在服務社區方面的奉獻。在二零二三╱二四年度，
超過一百五十名出租屋邨居民累計超過五千八百個服務時數而獲獎。這個嘉許計劃不但讚揚他們對社會的貢獻，
也突顯出義工在建立鄰里關懷、互助支援社區的重要性。
