Collaborating with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (“PolyU”)
on Creating Sustainable Intergenerational Play Spaces
與香港理工大學（「理大」）合作創造可持續的跨代玩樂空間

Since 2021, the Housing Society has run an intergenerational programme in Jat Min Chuen that
repurposes public spaces into engaging play areas. This initiative features the installation of various
leisure facilities that encourage participation from individuals of all age groups. Following its success
in Jat Min Chuen, we plan to extend this programme to other rental estates, nurturing sustainable
intergenerational communities throughout our portfolio.

To further promote our efforts in intergenerational harmony, the Housing Society has signed a
Memorandum of Understanding with The PolyU-NAMI 3D Concrete Robotic Printing Research Centre
to jointly explore the innovative application of 3D concrete printing technology and upcycled concrete
materials for constructing intergenerational play spaces in Jat Min Chuen. This collaboration
focuses on creating aesthetically pleasing, low-carbon concrete installations that serve as both
community landmarks and catalysts for intergenerational interaction, while promoting environmental
sustainability.

自二零二一年起，房協於乙明邨推行跨代計劃，將公共空間改造為遊樂空間。此計劃包含各種玩樂設施，鼓勵所
有年齡層參與使用。基於乙明邨計劃的成功，我們期望將計劃拓展到房協的其他出租屋邨，推動可持續跨代社區
的發展。
為促進實現跨代共融，房協與理大納米3D混凝土打印研究中心簽訂合作意向書，共同研究使用創新的混凝土3D
打印技術及再生混凝土物料，於乙明邨建造跨代玩樂空間。是次合作製作兼具美學和低碳排放的混凝土產品，為
乙明邨打造獨有的地標，推動跨代互動並推廣環境的可持續發展。
