To ensure the adoption of environmental-friendly
design and green initiatives in our housing projects,
we have adopted the Building Environment
Assessment Method (BEAM) to evaluate the
environmental performance of all our urban renewal
projects, retirement housing developments and
other specific housing projects. In addition, Micro-
climate Studies and Thermal Comfort Analysis
were conducted during different design stages to
evaluate site-specific performance in fostering a
sustainable living environment.

Sustainable design and environmental-friendly
construction are key features of our housing projects.
We put great emphasis on achieving a design approach
of striking a balance between the development and the
neighbourhood for a sustainable living style.

Aiming to improve our living environment, the Housing Society
integrates environmental initiatives into the planning and
design of our urban renewal, subsidised sale flats, rental and
city revitalisation projects.
