For this reason, the Executive Committee, having considered the
economic factors such as inflation rate, salary index and the
affordability of our tenants, approved an 8% rent increase during
the review period, which took effect on 1 April 2016. The new rent,
which was generally accepted by the majority of tenants, will hold
for two years.
Caring for our Tenants
In addition to providing affordable housing for our tenants, the
Housing Society offers a range of services along with a variety of
social, health and recreational amenities that contribute towards our
mission of promoting ‘happy, safe and healthy living’ as well as a
stronger sense of community within our estates, especially for our
elderly tenants.
In 2003, we established the Housing Society Community (HSC)
programme to develop closer community ties through volunteer
activities such as sports, home visits, festival celebrations and
environmental activities. During the review period, the HSC organised
438 activities for 14,319 residents, including the Ageing-in-Place
scheme activities for the elderly.
有見及此,執行委員會年內經考慮通脹率、
薪金指數及住戶的負擔能力等經濟因素後,
通過加租百分之八。新租金自二零一六年
四月一日起生效,並維持兩年,獲租戶普遍
接受。
關懷居民
