As well as providing much needed services for our elderly tenants,
the AIP scheme yielded an above-average return from a Social Return
on Investment (SROI) perspective. A study undertaken by the Hong
Kong Institute of Social Impact Analysts during the year indicated that
for every HK$1 spent on the AIP scheme, it generated HK$4.5 of
social value in return.
In recognition of our AIP scheme, the Housing Society was named one
of the finalists for the Best Approach to Support Ageing-in-Place in
the 4
th
APAC Eldercare Innovation Awards 2016 in Singapore. The
award acknowledges contributions towards improving the quality of
living of older adults, ease-of-use, elderly-friendliness and
affordability of elderly support services and facilities.
Also, in January 2016, 11 of our housing estates with AIP scheme
were audited and subsequently received the Age-friendly District
Award by the Hong Kong Council of Social Services according to the
principles stipulated by the World Health Organization.
除了能為長者居民提供所需的服務外,從
