業務重點
Elderly Resources Centre
In addition to providing different types of elderly housing, we
assist seniors living in private properties to achieve ‘ageing in place’
through our Elderly Resources Centre (ERC). Following the launch of
the ERC in 2005 at Prosperous Garden, we have steadily increased
the number of projects and services offered through this facility.
In the past decade, the ERC has served over 329,000 members of the
community, including the elderly, their families and carers, as well as
students, overseas scholars and industry practitioners.
Operated by occupational therapists and registered social workers,
the ERC promotes the concept of ‘ageing in place’ to the wider
community through education, assessment of physical well-being
and home risks, training, consultation and research.
Another task of the ERC is to raise awareness of home safety among
the elderly by introducing them to age-friendly furniture and tools.
In future, the ERC will put a greater focus on promoting age-friendly
homes for a safe, convenient and barrier-free living environment for
the aged.
The ERC enhances home safety of the elderly
