Additionally, we assisted a total of 2,490 owners through the
BMGSEO and 1,930 elderly under the OBB Grant for Elderly
Owner-occupiers.
City Revitalisation Projects
The Housing Society has been undertaking projects aiming to
revitalise or bring vitality to some of Hong Kong’s older districts
while maintaining their characteristics. City revitalisation projects
have been carried out since 2006 in the districts of Sham Shui Po,
Kwai Tsing, Tai Po, Tsuen Wan, Sai Kung, Islands, Eastern District
and Yuen Long.
Our last city revitalisation project which involved the construction
of a pedestrian bridge over the Tuen Mun River began in 2014. For
this project, we received additional funding from the Hong Kong
Jockey Club under a community scheme to cover the increased cost.
In 2015/16, we continued work on the construction of the Tuen Mun
River Footbridge. By early 2015, works on the foundation and piles
caps had been completed and the bridge deck and superstructure
works were on track for completion in September 2016.

市區活化項目
房協過去曾進行多個項目以活化香港的
舊區，在注入新活力之餘，同時亦保留當地
獨有特色。市區活化項目由二零零六年開始
於各區推行，包括深水埗、葵青、大埔、
荃灣、西貢、離島、東區及元朗。
最後一個市區活化項目為興建屯門河行人
橋，於二零一四年展開。由於成本上漲，
項目獲香港賽馬會的社區計劃額外撥款。
於二零一五╱一六年度，我們繼續進行屯門
河行人橋的工程。地基及樁帽工程已於二零
一五年初完成，而橋面及上蓋工程的進度亦
理想，將於二零一六年九月竣工。
