Annual General Meeting
The Housing Society holds an annual general meeting (AGM) in every
calendar year. The Chairman of the Housing Society will give a brief account
of the business of the Housing Society of the past year at the AGM. The
2015 AGM was held on 8 September 2015 at the Hong Kong Convention
and Exhibition Centre, attended by 46 Housing Society Members.
Enterprise Risk Management
The Housing Society started to establish its Enterprise Risk
Management (ERM) framework since 2006/07. Assisted by our
consultant, the framework has been developed and refined over the
years with risk governance structure; and risk identification,
assessment, monitoring and reporting processes defined.
With the ERM framework developed into an appropriate maturity level,
the Management has internalized the maintenance role since 2012/13.
External consultant will be engaged for periodic assurance review on
the effectiveness of the ERM framework. The Management conducts
corporate-wide risk assessment on an annual basis. Risk assessment
results and enhancement in the ERM framework are reported to the
Audit Committee annually. The Audit Committee will report the same
to the Supervisory Board.
Membership of Housing Society
There were five new members joining the Housing Society during
the financial year, namely Mr Alvin Mak Wing-sum, Mr Desmond
Chan Kwok-kit, Mr Martin Leung Oh-man, Mr Wilfred Wong Kam-pui,
and Ms Linda Kwo Lai-ming. Meanwhile, Dr Gordon Anderson and
Mr Bill Lam resigned as Members of the Housing Society effective from
24 April 2015 and 3 May 2015 respectively due to their other personal
pursuit. Mrs Marian Li Chan Sien-mun retired as a Member of the
Housing Society on 28 May 2015 upon her decease on the same date.
The Housing Society has 133 Members as at 31 March 2016, 60 of
them are serving on the Supervisory Board, the Executive Committee
and the various Committees. The full lists of Housing Society Members
are shown on pages 24 to 26. Biographies of our Supervisory Board and
Executive Committee members are shown on pages 20 to 23, while
those of our Directorate on page 27.
The membership compositions of the Supervisory Board and the Executive
Committee comprise a balanced mix of professionals, business executives,
and experts in the community services and academic fields. The diverse
background of the members of the Supervisory Board and the Executive
Committee ensures that the Two-tier Board would have the breadth and
depth of skills and expertise to steer the development of the Housing Society.
周年委員大會
房協每年均舉行周年委員大會,會上由
房協主席匯報房協過去一年的工作。二零
一五年周年委員大會於二零一五年九月八
日在香港會議展覽中心舉行,有四十六位
房協委員出席。
企業風險管理
房協自二零零六╱零七年度起建立企業
風險管理(企業風險管理)框架。在顧問的
協助下,這框架多年來不斷演變和改進,
確立了風險管理架構及風險辨識、評估、
監察和報告程序。
隨著企業風險管理的框架日漸成熟,管理
層自二零一二╱一三年度起,將企業風險
管理檢討工作改為內部負責,並外聘顧問
定期檢定風險管理框架的成效。管理層每
年均進行全面的企業風險評估,並向審核
委員會匯報企業風險評估的結果及風險管
理框架的改進,而審核委員會繼而向監事
會匯報有關事宜。
房協委員
本財政年度有五位新委員加入房協,分別
為麥永森先生、陳國傑先生、梁傲文先
生、黃錦沛先生及葛黎明女士。與此同
時,歐達成博士及林模標先生基於其他個
人事務而分別自二零一五年四月二十四日
及二零一五年五月三日起辭任房協委員。
李陳倩文女士於二零一五年五月二十八日
離世,遂退任房協委員。
截至二零一六年三月三十一日,房協共有
133
位委員,當中六十位乃監事會、執行委
員會及其他委員會的委員。房協委員名單

監事會及執行委員會的委員組合包括不同
界別的專業人士、商界行政人員及社會服
務界和學術界的專家。監事會及執行委員
會委員的不同專業背景,確保雙層管治架
構有各方面的技能及專業知識,以帶領房
協發展。
