Property Management
The Housing Society manages 20 rental estates, accommodating around
88,000 residents in 32,485 units. In addition, the Housing Society
has been providing building management services for 19,215 private
flats in 24 properties, apart from the 11,652 units under the Tenants
Purchase Scheme.
Rental Estates
In April 2014, a general rent increase for the Housing Society flats was
introduced. All domestic units in the 20 rental estates were covered. The
8% increase for two years which averaged out to around 4% per year was
in line with inflation. For 75% of the tenants, the financial impact was less
than HK$150 a month.
Under the rental policy of the Housing Society, the rent is to pay for estate
management and rates, and to make a contribution towards rehabilitation
and future redevelopment. However, even after the increase, these basic
objectives are not met as we endeavoured to keep the increase modest to
avoid substantial financial burden on our tenants.

出租屋邨
房協於二零一四年四月調升轄下二十個出租
屋邨所有住宅單位的租金百分之八,新租金
將維持兩年,即平均每年加幅約為百分之
四,與通脹率相若。七成半的租戶每月因加
租多繳付的租金少於一百五十港元。
在房協的租務政策下,租金收入是用以支付
屋邨的管理及差餉,並為復修及日後的重建
計劃作儲備。但為免加重住戶的經濟負擔,
我們只作出溫和的租金調整,因此即使上調
租金後,屋邨的營運仍未能達致收支平衡。
