AIP was piloted at Cho Yiu Chuen in 2012 with the objectives of adding
colour to the life of the elderly by encouraging social interaction, good
life habits, stable emotions, as well as a positive attitude towards ageing
in general.
Under AIP, home visits and group activities are arranged for the elderly
by the operation team of the Housing Society, as well as other partner
NGOs. Special training is given to improve the ability of elderly to live
independently and to increase their health awareness, for example
by teaching them how to manage daily routines and self-monitor
health conditions.
AIP has served about 8,500 elderly residents since its launch. Under the
Scheme, about 4,300 health assessments have been conducted and
about 60 flats have benefitted from home modification.
In light of the success at Cho Yiu Chuen, the scheme is being extended to
seven more estates, namely Moon Lok Dai Ha, Kwun Tong Garden Estate,
Lok Man Sun Chuen, Chun Seen Mei Chuen, Ming Wah Dai Ha, Kwun
Lung Lau and Lai Tak Tsuen. At a second stage, Yue Kwong Chuen, Ka
Wai Chuen and Clague Garden Estate will be added, making a total of 11.
Senior Citizen Residences Scheme
To fill a market niche and promote the concept of ‘ageing in place’, the
Housing Society embarked upon the Senior Citizen Residences (SEN)
Scheme in the late 90’s to provide elderlies in the middle-income group
purpose-designed housing with associated health care and recreational
facilities. The ‘lease for life’ arrangement was unprecedented in
Hong Kong when SEN was first launched.
「樂得耆所」計劃於二零一二年在祖堯邨試
行，旨在為長者增添生活色彩，鼓勵更多
社交互動、建立良好生活習慣、保持平和心
境，以及抱正面的態度安度晚年。
在「樂得耆所」計劃下，房協的前線團隊及
其他非政府機構夥伴為長者安排家訪及團體
活動，並提供特別訓練，幫助他們獨立生
活，提升健康意識，如教導他們如何安排日
常生活及自我監察健康狀況等。
自推行以來，「樂得耆所」計劃已為約
8,500
長者提供服務，並進行了
4,300
次健康評
估，另有約六十個單位得到家居改裝服務。
繼袓堯邨成功推行計劃後，房協已陸續將計
劃推展到其他七個屋邨，包括滿樂大廈、觀
塘花園大廈、樂民新村、真善美邨、明華大
廈、觀龍樓及勵德邨。第二階段將加入漁
光村、家維邨、祈德尊新邨，令計劃覆蓋共
十一個屋邨。
「長者安居樂」住屋計劃
為填補市場縫隙及推廣「居家安老」的概
念，房協早於九十年代後期推出「長者安居
樂」住屋計劃，為中等入息的長者提供特設
的居所，並附設醫療及康樂配套設施，當時
「終身租住」的模式在香港是前所未有的。
