The website of the Elderly Resources Centre provides a comprehensive
platform of information for the elderly, their families and carers, by
featuring diversified contents such as elderly housing, health, home
safety and retirement living. The website recorded about 180,000
visitors in the review year and won a Gold Award in the Web Accessibility
Recognition Scheme jointly organised by the Office of the Government
Chief Information Officer and the Equal Opportunities Commission in
2014 for its barrier-free design.
Elderly Safe Living Scheme
Furthering the effort to promote home safety for the elderly in the
community, the Housing Society launched the Elderly Safe Living Scheme
in conjunction with the Building Surveying Division of The Hong Kong
Institute of Surveyors during the review year.
Piloted in Island East and Sham Shui Po since January 2014, the services
provided include professional consultation, home assessment and
specific advice on home modifications. This service is open to all elderly
home-owners in the community.

技總監辦公室及平等機會委員會設立的「無
障礙網頁嘉許計劃」金獎,表揚網站的無障
礙設計。
「長者住安心」計劃
為進一步向社區上的長者推廣家居安全,房
協於去年聯同香港測量師學會建築測量組推
出了「長者住安心」計劃。
計劃自二零一四年一月起在港島東及深水埗
試行,提供專業諮詢及家居評估服務,並為
個別家居改裝工程提供意見,服務對象為社
區上的所有長者業主。
