At the end of March 2014, the total headcount of the Housing Society
was 1,200, representing an increase of 2.39% over the previous year.
The annualised staff turnover rate of 16.83% was below the average of
23.6% in the property management sector.
Staff Development and Sustainability
All new recruits in the high turnover group of the Housing Society now
undergo a special day camp called ‘Making Housing Society Your
Home’, the purpose of which is to ensure thorough understanding of the
organisational objectives and values of the Housing Society. Since the
launch of this very essential training programme in 2009, 170 entrants
have been inducted.
Integrity and professional ethics are required of any staff in the Housing
Society. For this, we regularly arrange talks by the Independent
Commission Against Corruption, Office of the Privacy Commissioner for
Personal Data and the Equal Opportunities Commission. The purpose is to
enhance the awareness of staff towards the importance of honesty, fairness
and professionalism, and to acquaint them with the relevant legislation.
We had held five such sessions in the year, drawing over 300 attendants.
We also achieved the target of 3.2 training days per staff in the year
through a rich curriculum extending from practical issues like ‘computer
use’, ‘operations competencies’ and ‘customer services’, to broader
topics like ‘individual effectiveness’, ‘leadership development,’ ‘health and
safety’, and languages.

年內,員工流失率為百分之十六點八三,
較物業管理業界的平均值百分之二十三點六
為低。
員工培育及持續發展
屬房協流失率較高群組的新員工,都必須
參與一個名為「房協是我家」的特別日營,
讓他們透徹了解房協的企業目標和價值。自
二零零九年推出以來,這項基本培訓已有
170
名新入職的員工參與。
房協要求員工有良好的誠信及專業操守。為
此,我們定期安排廉政公署、個人私隱專員
公署及平等機會委員會主持講座,提升員工
的誠信、公平和專業意識,並讓他們了解相
關法律。年內,我們舉辦了五項該類講座,
合共超過
300
人參加。
我們為員工開展多元化的培訓課程,既有
實用的「電腦應用」、「營運能力」、和「顧
客服務」課程,亦有較廣泛的題材如「個人
效能」、「領袖培訓」、「健康和安全」及語文
等。年內,我們達到每名員工平均完成三點
二天培訓的目標。
