The HS Academy continues to receive Government officials and
housing practitioners, professionals and students from outside Hong
Kong who take interest in the work of the Housing Society, ranging
from our innovative work in housing with care for the elderly to property
management in general, the operation of housing loan schemes and our
experience in running subsidised sales projects.
During the year, the HS Academy co-sponsored a training programme for
teachers from the Guangzhou University on property management and
received 59 members of the Guangdong Province Real Estate Industry
Association. HS Academy also took 23 Macau Government officials to the
Elderly Resources Centre and Cheerful Court for an appreciation of how
we promoted ‘ageing in place’ and how our Senior Citizen Residences
Scheme worked.
Similar arrangements were made for 18 members of the Singapore
Urban Redevelopment Authority and 10 delegates from the Housing and
Development Bureau of Singapore, a large delegation of 34 persons from
Centre for Liveable Cities of Singapore, as well as three professors from
the Estate Management Department of the University of Malaya.
The Housing Society organises its own award scheme – the Hong Kong
Housing Society Award. Started in 2006, the scheme is to encourage
students to pursue housing-related studies. The 9

Ceremony of the Award took place in February 2014. 69 students
from 15 local universities, community colleges and vocational training
institutes received awards. Of these students, 11 were pursuing elderly
care studies.
「專業發展中心」經常接待各地政府官員、房
屋同業、專業人士及外來學生等。他們均對
房協的工作甚感興趣，包括了解創新的關顧
式長者房屋、物業管理、住屋貸款計劃及資
助發售項目的運作。
年內，「專業發展中心」贊助了一項為廣州
大學教師而設的物業管理培訓課程，另接待
了五十九名廣東省房地產行業管理協會的成
員。中心亦安排了二十三名澳門官員參觀
「長者安居資源中心」及彩頤居，了解我們在
推廣「居家安老」的工作及「長者安居樂」住
屋計劃的運作。
同時，我們亦接待了十八名新加坡市區重建
局的代表和十名新加坡建屋發展局的成員、
新加坡宜居城市研發中心的三十四人代表
團，以及三位來自馬來亞大學物業管理學系
的教授。
另外，房協亦於二零零六年設立「香港房屋
協會獎助學金計劃」，鼓勵學生修讀房屋及
相關的學科。第九屆頒獎典禮於二零一四年
二月舉行，六十九位來自本地十五家大專院
校、社區學院及香港專業教育學院的學生獲
獎，當中十一人修讀長者護理的課程。
