Similarly, the Housing Society Community which always engages
our residents to take part in volunteering services continued with its
programme of charity acts, home visits and festive celebrations to serve
elderly neighbours in our rental estates under ‘Operation Love’ and the
‘Ageing-in-Place’ Scheme. The highlight last year was the ‘Caring for the
Elderly in Happy New Year’ celebration at Wu Kai Sha Youth Village. The
event which was to welcome the Year of the Horse attracted nearly 1,000
elderly residents.
On a regular basis, the Housing Society sponsors and mobilises its staff to
support community activities. This year, the Housing Society continued to
encourage its staff to participate in fund-raising events like Dress Casual
Day, Love Teeth Day, Corporate Challenge, Skip Lunch Day organised by
The Community Chest of Hong Kong, and the Wu Zhi Xing Charity Walk
to raise funds for bridge projects on the Mainland.
The Housing Society celebrated festive occasions with some 1,000 senior residents from the rental estates

同時，「房協之友」鼓勵居民服務社群，積極
參與各項慈善、探訪及節慶活動，透過「樂
得耆所」計劃及「關愛行動」服務邨內長者居
民。去年的重點活動為假烏溪沙青年新村舉
行的「二零一四年喜氣洋洋迎新禧敬老顯愛
心滿堂喜慶」，近千名長者居民聚首一堂，
共迎馬年。
房協定時贊助及策動員工參與社區活動。年
內，房協繼續鼓勵員工參加各項籌款活動如
香港公益金舉辦的「公益便服日」、「公益愛
牙日」、「公益慈善馬拉松」、「公益行善『折』
食日」，以及為「無止行」慈善步行籌款，支
持內地的修橋項目。
