The ‘Care for the Silver Hair’ curriculum is designed to sharpen the skill
sets of staff in elderly care. Since its commencement in 2008, 2,700
staff members have received training under different modules such
as ‘understanding the physical and psychological ageing process’,
‘communicating with the elderly’ and ‘creating an age-friendly and
safe environment’.
Phase 1 of the Service Enhancement Campaign aims to instil a service
mindset in all staff of the Property Management Division (PMD). It was an
extension of the ‘Care for the Silver Hair’ initiative and was the highlight of
training last year. Nearly all staff in PMD attended the 12 kick-off sessions
held between November 2013 and March 2014.
In preparation for the takeover of the elderly services at Jolly Place in
2013 and subsequently at Cheerful Court in late-2014, a nine-module
Elderly Services Training series, including ‘elderly care service and
operations’, ‘personal care skills’ and ‘health and safety for the elderly’,
was organised for new recruits into the Housing Society Care Teams
between August and November 2013. Each staff received 5.9 days of
intensive training on average.
「關愛銀髮一族」課程旨在提升員工在照顧長
者方面的技能。自二零零八年推出以來,已
有
2,700
名員工接受不同單元的培訓,例如
「了解生理及心理上的老化過程」、「與長者
溝通的技巧」和「打造長者友善及安全的環
境」等課程。
去年的重點培訓項目為第一階段的「提升服
務文化新里程」課程,是「關愛銀髮一族」工
作的延伸,目的是向所有物業管理部的員工
灌輸服務的文化。大部分物業管理部的員工
均已參與於二零一三年十一月至二零一四年
三月期間舉行的十二節啟動課程。
為籌備二零一三年接管樂頤居,繼而在二零
一四年底接管彩頤居的長者服務,我們於
二零一三年八月至十一月期間,為新入職的
「關顧服務團隊」員工安排了合共九個單元的
長者服務培訓系列,內容包括「長者關顧服
務及營運」、「個人護理技巧」和「長者的健
康及安全」。每位員工平均接受五點九天的
密集式訓練。
