Housing Society Re-distributes Rates Concessions to Tenants

Following the announcement of the Chief Secretary in his Policy Address yesterday to reduce rates payment for all ratepayers to ease their burden, the Housing Society will re-distribute all the rates thus saved to its tenants accordingly as soon as practicable so that they can benefit directly.

In addition, in response to Government's call to help ease people's financial burden and the rental concession proposal announced by the Housing Authority on its public housing estates and shops, the Executive Committee of the Housing Society will devise an appropriate and feasible rental proposal at its coming meeting to be held at the end of the month.

In view of the current market conditions, the Housing Society has also decided to defer the launch of the Senior Citizen Residences (SEN) Scheme originally planned for this month to some time closer to the completion of the two properties. Details of the Scheme will be announced then.
