Dedicated Rehousing Estates

Dedicated Rehousing Estate (DRE) projects are developed by HKHS upon the commission of the Government. Eligible households affected by the Government's development clearance or the urban renewal programme may apply for the Subsidised Sale Flat or rental units within these projects without undergoing a comprehensive means test (CMT).

There are three DRE projects in the New Territories, located at Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen, Pak Wo Road in Fanling and Kwu Tung North. Phase 1A of the Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen project was completed in 2024 and is notably the first SSF project built with concrete MiC. The Fanling project, Casa Sierra, was completed in July 2025, while Phase II of the Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen project and the Kwu Tung North project remain under construction.

In addition, HKHS is developing DRE projects in the urban areas of Kowloon. Among them, the one at Kai Tak Area 1E Site 1 will be completed in 2026. The projects at Ma Tau Kok in To Kwa Wan and Phase I of Chuk Yuen United Village, a former urban squatter settlement, are also under construction, while the remaining projects at Ngau Chi Wan Village and Cha Kwo Ling Village are under planning.
