HKHS "T-Home" at Ming Wah Dai Ha Receives Nearly 900 Applications

The application for "T-Home" Transitional Housing Scheme units at Ming Wah Dai Ha (MWDH) of Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) was closed on 6 October.  A total of 895 applications have been received, of which 327 are from 2-person households, 332 from 3-person households and 236 from 4-person households.

Computer balloting for the applications will be conducted on 21 October to determine the priority numbers of applicants for flat allocation.  Based on the applicants' priority numbers and family size, invitation will be sent to the applicants for vetting and flat allocation.  Applicants who accept the offer of flat assigned will be required to sign the Licence Agreement, and the successful applicants are expected to move in starting from the end of this year.  All applicants will only be offered one chance of flat allocation.  If the applicant refuses the offer or fails to turn up for the flat allocation procedures, the application will be cancelled.

MWDH is currently under redevelopment, thus HKHS renovated the vacant units in Block A to E that fall under the third phase of the redevelopment scheme and converted them into transitional housing, as a move to optimise existing housing resources to help provide improved living environment for low-income families more promptly.  There are more than 100 units in the first batch of "T-Home" at MWDH, while the total units to be available will be around 200, as more vacant units are expected during the course of decanting.

Applicants may call the Scheme Hotline 8103-0330 for enquiries.  Details of the Scheme are also available at the website www.hkhs.com/en/application/t-home#transitional_rental.
