Housing Society Announces the Re-sale of Greenhill Villa, Mount Verdant and Terrace Concerto rescinded units
The Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) announced today (17 February) that the rescinded units in its three Subsidised Sale Flats (SSF) projects would be put up for re-sale, jointly with the "Sale of Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Flats 2022" (HOS 2022) of the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA). Applications from eligible persons will be accepted from 25 February 2022 to 24 March 2022.
A total of 27 rescinded units is available for the re-sale, including 11 units from Greenhill Villa in Sha Tin, 6 units from Mount Verdant in Tseung Kwan O and 10 units from Terrace Concerto in Tuen Mun. All the three residential developments have been completed. The saleable area of the re-sale units ranges from 271 to 740 sq.ft. (Note 1), comprising flat types of 1-bedroom to 3-bedroom. The average selling prices of the re-sale units are set provisionally with a 49 per cent discount, i.e. to be sold at 51 per cent of the assessed market value, referencing upon the earlier announcement of the HA, while the final discount rate will be subject to the HA’s final announcement (Note 2).
The application and eligibility vetting procedures of this re-sale exercise for SSF and HOS 2022 will all be coordinated by the HA. Therefore, eligible applicants only have to submit one single application and undergo vetting process for once, for the purchase of SSF or HOS units. After the application deadline, balloting is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2022 and flat selection to commence in the fourth quarter of the same year. The final schedule of all sales arrangements is subject to the announcement of the HA for HOS 2022 and the relevant announcements of HKHS later on.
