Housing Society Pledges Full Support to the 2025 Legislative Council General Election

The Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) fully supports the call made by the Chief Executive and Chairman of the Electoral Affairs Commission at today’s (23 October) kick-off ceremony for the 2025 Legislative Council General Election.  HKHS encourages industry members and residents who are registered voters to fulfill their civic responsibilities and cast their votes for capable candidates on the election day on 7 December, joining hands to build a better future and living environment for all in Hong Kong.

HKHS Chairman Prof Ling Kar-kan said, “The Legislative Council plays a pivotal role in advancing Hong Kong’s development by formulating laws and refining public policies that address the needs of society, closely associated to the well-being of everyone.  Being a public organisation of housing supply in Hong Kong, the Housing Society has worked closely with the government to create quality housing and inclusive communities.  The Housing Society renders its full support to the Legislative Council General Election and calls for the participation of all Members, staff and their families, and residents to cast their votes on the election day.  We will also promote the election across our rental estates, offices and construction sites, and spare no effort to facilitate our staff on duty on the polling day to cast their votes.”
