Playing Host to Visiting Groups

Two scholars from the South China Construction University visited the Housing Society for a four-week exchange programme between April 21 and May 19. During their stay, they were briefed on the Housing Society's operation, and visited various housing estates and other organisations.

Mr Chen De-hao, officer of the Faculty of Construction Management said he has got a better understanding of Hong Kong's property market, spanning from policy making procedures of a property development to its completion. The visit has also enhanced his understanding of the Government's housing policy and the living conditions of Hong Kong people.

Meanwhile, Professor Jia Shi-jun said he will teach his students what he has learned from the trip and hoped they can make respective contributions to the property market in China.

During April and May, the Housing Society also received a number of visiting groups from China and Hong Kong, namely the Zhongshan Construction Committee, the Ministry of Land and Resources, and St. Paul Co-educational School. Visitors were briefed on the operations of the Housing Society and estate visits were arranged.
