Quality Field Practices (QFP) Video Series

The Hong Kong Housing Society started to produce the "Quality Field Practices" (QFP) video series in 2000 with the aim to set a benchmark of good and proper workmanship for the site staff and contractors undertaking its development projects, and to help promote quality construction in Hong Kong.

The production of the video series involves active participation of the Hong Kong Construction Association, the Hong Kong Construction Industry Employees General Union and respective associations and trade union. The whole series of 35 videos have been completed in 2003.

The video series has been well received by the construction industry, academia, and the general public. Housing Society has granted the right to use the QFP video series for teaching to the Construction Industry Training Authority, the Vocational Training Council, as well as five local universities. Besides, the videos were distributed to members of organizations of the industry, including Hong Kong Construction Association, Hong Kong Construction Industry Employees General Union, Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), the Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM) and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS).

To make the distribution of this video series more meaningful and beneficial to the construction industry, interested parties who want to get a copy should make a donation of not less than $100 for each DVD to the Welfare Fund of the HKCIEGU at the following location:
